Solomon Hura Jr., known to his fans as Nash Zambia, is a dynamic artist renowned for his fiery energy and catchy hooks, earning him the nickname “Hook Man” from his peers. Born on July 9, 1994, at UTH in Lusaka, the capital of Zambia, Nash was raised in the vibrant neighborhood of Makeni. From an early age, he was captivated by the sounds of heavy hip hop and traditional Zambian music, foreseeing his future as a musical icon.
Nash’s journey into music was temporarily paused as he navigated his academic life, completing his secondary education in Maamba, Southern Province. In 2013, his passion for music took center stage when he made his studio debut. This marked the beginning of a remarkable career filled with creativity and innovation.
A pivotal moment in Nash’s career came when he teamed up with music producer Cuthbert Miles. Their collaboration led to the creation of the award-winning track “Ba Cheende” in 2019. Recognizing the potential of the song, they enlisted King Illest a Hip hop mogul who solidified the potential success of the song when he called Zambian music giant MK Marky 2 for a collaboration on the “Ba Cheende record that catapulted Nash into the commercial music scene.
Building on this success, Nash released his debut EP, NKUNKUMUNA MASAMU, featuring collaborations with top producers like Jayder High Beats, Jex On It, Semaji That Beat Dope, Big Master, and the legendary DJ Mzenga Man of M Beats Records. The EP also includes contributions from industry heavyweights such as Drifta Trek, Vinchenzo, Y-Celeb, D Jon’s, and King Illest.
In early 2024, Nash released his first music video for the track “Zwa” from the NKUNKUMUNA MASAMU EP, quickly gaining traction on YouTube and solidifying his reputation in the Zambian music scene.A versatile artist, Nash Zambia excels in writing, rapping, and singing across multiple languages.
